Did you know there's a proper way to hold the leash for both your safety and your pets'?

We hope these photos by Simpatico Dog Training help!

Step 1. Run the leash between your thumb and first finger.

Step 2. Pull the longer end of the leash between your first and middle finger.

Step 3. Grip the long end of the leash with your remaining fingers- it will come out at the pinky end of your palm.

Why is this the preferred method?

It lowers the likelihood of wrist injuries, avoids slippage, and gives more control through using your core!

An infographic displays proper leash handling techniques as described in the blog post.
